Winter Wonderland
We love Georgian Bay in the summer, but winter is something else entirely—pure magic. The serenity and silence wrap around us, sending peace through our minds and bodies. At winter’s peak, the bay becomes a flawless mirror of ice. Once a year, the opportunity arises to "walk on water" along the shallow edges of the shoreline. Mother Nature’s northwest winds carve snow sculptures—each one perfectly shaped, with just the right proportions, like a Michelangelo masterpiece. Spring is near when the ice starts to shift and crackle and the border ice hugs the shore line. Soon after the blue waters of Georgian Bay return in full bloom.
