Tell what happened.

Add context

Place, tags, privacy, and media.

Submit

A steward reviews it before publication.

Studio guide

Draft the story before you submit.

Start with the memory. Add enough detail that someone who was not there can understand why it matters.

Step 1 of 3

Memory

What happened, and why did it matter?

Place

Where did it happen?

Media

What photo, sound, document, or image helps explain it?

Story coach

Ask for guidance after you have a rough draft. The coach can suggest what is missing without submitting anything.

  • Give the story a title that names what happened.
  • Add a few more concrete details: what happened, who was there, and why it stayed with you.
  • Add the specific location or stretch of shoreline so the memory has a map anchor.
  • Choose one or two activity tags so people can find this story later.
  • Add at least one photo, video, audio clip, document, link, or generated-image brief.
Submitting to Autumn Hicks, a stewarded collection about Autumn Hicks.
